As 2009 comes to an end, everyone is anticipating Airasia’s big promotion once gain. With all the major holidays coming in the next few months i.e. Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year, Airasia and MAS are set to be buzzed with people flying to all destinations domestically or internationally. Yes, it’s Balik Kampung season! A time for re-union and holidays.

But in case you missed the previous news, Airasia already launched its 2010 promotion as early as Oct 2009. In fact the response was so good that it extended the promotion until 18th of Nov. The promotion was for the flying period between 11 January 2010 – 30 April 2010.

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) not to be outdone by Airasia’s promotion, followed suit and launched its own promotion days later.A close friend of mine, who made a comparison between the two concluded that both promotions are equally good i.e. both offered dirt cheap flights tickets to many attractive destinations.

But the golden rules apply – book early and chances are you would get a cheap ticket. Or take advantage of the Flight Fares Comparison Tool provided by Malaysian Airlines Information. Otherwise, just forget about cheap ticket because you may not even get one as the response was so overwhelming.

The bad news is both promotions already ended. But keep your eyes and ears opened because I’m sure both Airasia and MAS will come head-to-head again on crazy sales soon.
