Gift Voucher from AirAsia?
My colleague recently got a surprise when he received an email telling him that he got a gift voucher from AirAsia worths RM200. At first, he doubted it considering AirAsia reputation for a bad customer service especially over the check-in counter. Anyway, that’s a totally different subject and best kept aside for the moment. For now back to the voucher.
Out of curiosity, he quickly went online to verify the voucher. Surprisingly, it’s for real. Apparently, it was a compensation for a delayed flight he was experiencing while travelling from Ho Chi Minh back to Malaysia. I’m not sure though if everyone in that flight was compensated as he did. One thing for sure, he made quite a ruckus at the check-in counter about the delay as he was not advised about it in advance. He could have spent the time elsewhere rather than had to loiter around the airport hopelessly.
Has AirAsia finally takes a step to acknowledge its customers’ complaint? Probably it starts to feel the pinch from rivalring airlines like Firefly which provides much better services to its customers. I don’t know about you but for me AirAsia is always my last choice.
